Shinok restaurant / Moscow

One of the most famous restaurants of Ukrainian cuisine in Moscow. Opened in 1997, it became the first project of restaurateur Andrei Dellos (Cafe "Pushkin", "Turandot").

The Shinok's space is decorated in an eco-loft style with unobtrusive ethnic motifs: a maximum of natural materials, a lot of light from huge windows, brickwork.

The interior “trick” is a mini-farm fenced off from the main hall with a glass wall, where cows, peacocks, pheasants, rabbits and other animals live.

All dishes are cooked of farm products, which are delivered to the restaurant from the best Russian farms. Ukrainian cuisine is presented in Shinok in all its diversity: five types of bacon (including stewed in honey with herbs), potato pancakes with sour cream, all kinds of dumplings (and hearty - with meat, salmon, potatoes and mushrooms, and sweet - with strawberries or cherries), real borsch with donuts, home-made pork sausage, baked leg of a milk pig with stewed cabbage and prunes and, finally, legendary pies with cabbage, meat and mushrooms.

In addition to the main menu, the restaurant has developed a rather interesting set Back in the USSR. A course of six hits of Soviet gastronomy, from Olivier salad and julienne to Stroganoff and Kiev cake beef, is an ideal option to feed foreign guests.
