Sightseeing tour of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky

Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky is the administrative and cultural center of the Kamchatka territory. The city was founded in 1740 during the Second Kamchatka expedition of Vitus Bering 1738-1743. Its history is closely connected with the history of geographical discoveries and development of the North Pacific ocean, world travel, and major historical events. In 2011, by decree No. 1458 of the President of the Russian Federation, the city of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky was awarded the honorary title «City of military glory» for its courage, perseverance and heroism during the Crimean war of 1853-1856, the Russo-Japanese war of 1903-1905, and during World War II.

- Panorama of the historical center of the city and the panorama of Avacha Bay.
- The first monument in the far East is a monument to the founder of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, commander of the First and Second Kamchatka expeditions, commander Vitus Bering. Memorial plaque to the 300th anniversary of Russian America.
