Arrival to Tashkent (by HY or LH from Europe or Asia). At any time of arrival – meeting with a guide and transportation to Samarkand (about 250 km, 5 hs) by lux bus (short tea break in the national tea house - "choikhona" on the way there, even at night!). Accommodation in the hotels "Afrosiab", ****, “Samarkand”, ***, or B&B. |

Sightseeing excursion about Samarkand (by foot, 4-5 hs): excursion to the Registan Square, where there are three Madrassahs. Visit the Shah-i-Zindah complex (XI-XIX centuries), the Gur-Amir mausoleum (1404), Ulug Beck's observatory (XV century), an Eastern bazaar and other places of interest, meals at the national restaurants (not included). One can additionally order a concert of a folk music at the Registan Square, or plan a visit to workshops of artisans (blacksmiths, weavers, wood carvers, etc.), and other amusements. Free evening for walk, explore, or rest. |
